Mr. Hans Smit, Ms. Laurie Meyer and Mr. John Petersen of Ocean Minerals shall be attending the Advanced Automotive Battery Conference (AABC) taking place, June 24 – 27, 2019, in San Diego, California.

OML is developing seabed minerals projects located in the Pacific Ocean in the Cook Islands. The polymetallic nodules project holds one of the world’s largest undeveloped cobalt resources in the world, including nickel, manganese, and copper byproducts, while our sediment project contains large amounts of rare earth elements and scandium.

These projects deliberately focus on doing so in an environmentally sustainable and socially responsible manner providing critical minerals to the automotive industry for batteries, motors and specialty metal components required to electrify the industry.

Mr. John Petersen shall be presenting a paper at the conference, “Subsea Mining – A practical path around the Cobalt cliff” – A critical independent analysis of sustainable energy initiatives.
